Ayurveda is the ancient holistic health care system of India developed through thousands of years of practical experience. This series of classes covers simple self-care techniques that support optimal health in body mind and soul.
Introduction to Ayurveda (Prerequisite for other classes): Basic principles of Ayurveda - the concept of health, the health process, the disease process, constitutional types, subtle essences and gunas. (Free seminar)
Ayurveda for Pregnancy: Ayurvedic principles for a healthy and comfortable pregnancy, birth and baby care. Includes: relaxation for a blissful baby, Ayurvedic diet, daily routine for wellness and abhyanga.
Ayurveda for Mothers and Others Part I: Ayurvedic practices for self and family-care. Includes cooking, seasonal cleansing, daily routine, herbs, abhyanga, meditation, mindfulness, and Ayurveda for the feminine cycle.
Ayurveda for Mothers and Others Part II: Building on topics covered in Part I, participants will design and implementAyurvedic practices for management or prevention of a selected condition.
