You and your family are invited to join the School of Life and the Essene Church of Peace on Saturday Sept. 11 for a day trip to Camphill Village at Kimberton Hills in PA. We will also be visiting Kimberton CSA, Seven Stars Farm and Yogurt Co; Camphill Village Dairy Farm and Sweetwater Bakery. We hope to also stop in at some Amish farms including a goat dairy.
The dairy and bakery are nestled within Camphill Village at Kimberton Hills, an anthroposophical eco-village that includes adults with disabilities, in which farming and hand-crafting are part of daily life. The village spreads over 432 acres of gardens, farmland, and woodland, and is home to over 100 people of all ages, including families.
Kimberton CSA is a certified Biodynamic and Organic vegetable garden and was one of the first CSA’s in the US. Seven Stars Farm is an adjacent organic dairy that also provides fertilizer for Kimberton’s 10 acres. Sweetwater Bakery’s bread is all naturally leavened, mixed and shaped by hand and baked in a wood fired brick oven, made from flour ground fresh in a slow moving stone mill. Kimberton Hills Dairy has a herd of 40 cows, mainly Brown Swiss and Friesian. Each cow has her own stall, and responds when her name is called.

· The 13 passenger van owned by Essene Church of Peace will be going. Please RESERVE your space with an RSVP. Meet by 8:30 am at 4209 East-West Highway, Bethesda. Return 7:30-8:00 pm.
